Prior to Minnesota Crookston: As a junior, Gombos posted a 1.49 ERA in 14 appearances for North Salinas H.S...As a sophomore, she was 11-4 with a 3.14 ERA in 15 starts and 18 overall appearances...As a freshman, she posted a 5.19 ERA in 21 starts...At the plate, Gombos hit .370 as a junior with 17 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, one home run and 21 RBIs...As a sophomore, she batted .494 with 31 runs scored, 40 RBIs, 13 doubles, two triples, and seven home runs...Gombos was named Athlete of the Week in April of 2019 after setting her season high for strikeouts...She played club softball for Sorcerer Softball competing for Sorcerer 18 Gold-Williams...Gombos was a two-time First Team All-League pick...She was named All-County Pitcher of the Year for North Salina H.S...Gombos was her team’s Most Valuable Player.
