Biography

2020 (Sophomore): Macias started and played in 16 games for the Golden Eagles...Hit .179 with six runs scored, one triple, two home runs, and six RBIs...Went 2-of-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs versus Bemidji State.

2019: Freshman season...Much like her sister, Leah made an instant impact for first year Head Coach Travis Owen...Played in 51 games, starting 48...Scored 16 runs on the season, while hitting one homerun and driving in 10...Hit her first career homerun against Sioux Falls on 3/31/19.

Prior to Minnesota Crookston: Macias played prep softball for South Hills High School where she was also named to the CIF Southern Section All-Academic Team. She also played club softball for Heybucket and Minors Gold 18-U. Macias scored six runs last season with seven RBI's and one home run. She has played two years of varsity softball.

Personal: She is the daughter of Michael and Jayme Macias. Her twin sister Hannah Macias also signed with the Golden Eagles. She was born June 3, 2000. Leah comes from a softball family as two of her older sisters have played college softball. Her sister Sarah Macias played at Wayne State College, while her sister Rachel Macias currently plays at Morningside College. Leah plans to major in early childhood education.
