2013-14: Sophomore season...28-Year-Old Sophomore had an immediate impact in his first season with the Golden Eagles...Appeared in 27 games with 16 starts...Was 19-of-53 for 35.8 percent from beyond the arc...Averaged 4.7 points and 4.1 rebounds per game...Tallied seven points and season-hig 12 rebounds against Jamestown Jan. 23...Notched seven points and 11 rebounds against Concordia-St. Paul Feb. 14...Had nine points and four boards versus MSU Moorhead Dec. 14 and tallied the same against U-Mary Feb. 7.

Grossmont College: Hughes played last season at Grossmont College in El Cajon, Calif.... Averaged 6.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as a senior for the Griffins.... Tallied 15 points and grabbed six rebounds to help Grossmont College upset San Diego City College... Also played outside hitter for the men's volleyball team for the Griffins... Hughes worked as a firefighter in Oregon prior to coming back to college at Grossmont... He was selected to the Vice President's list both terms academically at Grossmont College...  Hughes will come into UMC as a sophomore eligibility wise.

Personal: He is the son of Stacy Hughes of Boise, Idaho and Nancy Tinker of San Diego, Calif.... Majoring in management at UMC.
