University of Minnesota Crookston Athletics

Before UMC:Bariffe-Smith helped Nile North High School to a 26-5 mark as a senior. He played out of his natural position out of necessity in his prep career as he played in the post. Bariffe-Smith played for head coach Glenn Olson for the Vikings. He helped lead his prep team to the semifinals of sectionals. Bariffe-Smith averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game for the Vikings. He also played football and ran track growing up.

Personal: He is the son of Eugene Smith and Yvette Bariffe-Smith. Bariffe-Smith was born May 25, 2000. He plans to major in software engineering at Minnesota Crookston. Bariffe-Smith was a National Honors Society member. He received the Sportsmanship award and the Principal's breakfast award. Bariffe-Smith was also on the honor roll at Niles North High School eight times. His nickname is Taz. He has a wingspan of 6-11.
