Dani Schroeder

Schroeder is in her first season as assistant athletic trainer. Schroeder came to Minnesota Crookston after spending three years as an athletic trainer at the University of Wisconsin-Superior through Essentia Health in Duluth, Minn. Schroeder was most recently the head athletic trainer for Wisconsin-Superior, rising to the head position in Feb. 2016. Schroeder will work with the football and men's basketball programs for the Golden Eagles.

While with Essentia Health, Schroeder provided all contracted medicine services for all 17 of Wisconsin-Superior's varsity and junior varsity teams. She previously served as the assistant athletic trainer for the Yellowjackets prior to her elevation to the head role. Schroeder also served as the head athletic trainer for the University of Minnesota Duluth club lacrosse team.

Prior to her most recent role within Essentia Health, Schroeder served as a casual athletic trainer for the organization from Feb. 2015 to Aug. 2015, providing practice and game coverage at various high schools in the Duluth area.

Prior to working with Essentia Health, Schroeder was the assistant athletic trainer for one season at College of St. Scholastica. She worked primarily with the football, men's and women's hockey programs, and men's and women's track and field teams. Schroeder also served as a preceptor to 18 athletic training students in the College of St. Scholastica entry-level Master's program.

Schroeder also served as an adjunct faculty member at St. Scholastica. In addition, she was the athletic trainer for USA Baseball for the women's national baseball team development and training camps during the summer of 2016.

Schroeder earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training from College of St. Scholastica in 2014. She graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa with Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2011. Schroeder was a college soccer player at Wartburg. Schroeder is a Certified Athletic Trainer through the National Athletic Trainers Association – Board of Certification. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Schroeder has Graston, Module 1 certification and Kinesio Taping Level 1 training. In addition, she is certified by the American Red Cross in Professional Emergency Response/CPR/AED/Blood Borne Pathogen.
