2023-24 (Junior): Hoverson had 158 points for an average of 5.9 putting him at fourth on the Golden Eagles...Had a season high 17 against East Central...He made 55 out of 180 attempts from field goal...From beyond the arc he went 35 for 131...Hoverson also had 51 rebounds for an average of 1.9, 10 steals and nine blocks.

Prior to U of M Crookston: Hoverson will be a junior this season at Minnesota Crookston. Hoverson spent a year at Lake Region State and another year at Dakota State last season. Played in 27 games and started nine a year ago at DSU, averaging just under seven points a game and shot 33 percent from deep. Scored a season-high 29 points on 7-11 shooting from the three-point line against Viterbo College last season. Hoverson was also a dual-sport athlete at Dakota State, competing in track as well. In high school, he was named the Midco High School Boys Player of the Week after scoring 38 points against No. 1 Fargo Davies High School. He also holds the GFC school record for most blocks in a season with 55.

Personal: He is the son of Chad and Janet Hoverson of Grand Forks and Kate and Randy Heck of Cavalier, N.D. He plans on majoring in Exercise Science while at Minnesota Crookston.
