Prior to UMC: Maxey played both tight and defensive end for Sioux City East High School…Named All-Conference and All-District in his senior year…His fraternal twin brother Jonah will also be joining the Golden Eagles this fall.

Personal: Son of Christa Maxey…He was born December 21, 1999...One of several family members who competed at the collegiate level…His mother Christa played volleyball at South Dakota State University… His uncle Mike and aunt Lisa played football and soccer respectively at Briar Cliff…His uncles Steve, and Zach both played football at Buena Vista and Morningside respectively…Maxey's cousin Ted played Division I basketball at the University of Northern Iowa…His uncle Tony played soccer at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee…His uncle Noel Maxey ran track at Drake…His mother raised him and his brothers on her own.
