Prior to Minnesota Crookston: Attended Thornton Fractional South H.S...First-Team All-Conference...Two-year varsity starter...Passed for 728 yards as a senior with eight touchdowns...He rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns...As a junior, Clayton passed for nearly 500 yards and five touchdowns.
