Biography

2020: Joined the men's cross country team for the 2020-21 season after competing for the football team for the previous four seasons.

2019 (Redshirt Junior): Played in 10 games for the Golden Eagles... He tallied 9 catches for 152 yards and 3 touchdowns. His best game came against Northern State, where he had 2 receptions for 74 yards and 1 touchdown. He also played special teams where he made 4 total tackles.

2018 (Redshirt Sophomore): Appeared in all 11 games for the Golden Eagles...During the season transitioned from defensive back to wide receiver...Had four tackles at defensive back...Caught 2 receptions for 26 yards...Banks had one special teams score on a bad punt snap and jumped on the ball in the end zone against Minnesota Duluth...He had one punt for 35 yards against Bemidji State.

2017 (Redshirt Freshman): Appeared in 10 games as a defensive back... Tallied nine total tackles and had one pass break-up... Notched four tackles against Northern State.

2016 (Freshman): Redshirted 2016 season and will have four years to play four. 

High School: Served as team captain for football, basketball and track…An All-Conference track athlete two times…Earned All-Hiawatha Valley League Honorable Mention…Had over 200 yards receiving and six touchdowns as a senior at wide receiver…Tallied 27 tackles with four pass deflections for Cannon Falls H.S. as a senior.

Personal: Son of Josh and Missy Banks…Born Jan. 7, 1998…Plans to major in elementary education…Father Josh Banks played basketball and soccer at Northwestern College…Great uncle and second cousin played football and rugby respectively at North Dakota State...His great uncle Ron Banks was a four-time National Champion...His family does harness racing. His family lost his home in high school...He is the first person from his high school to score a touchdown at the NCAA Division II level.
