2018: Junior season...Appeared in 17 games in a Golden Eagles Uniform, all out of the bullpen. Struck out 17 in 18 innings pitched while walking 15, recording a record of 1-0. Opponents hit just .188. Gerzin struck out the side against St. Cloud State in a loss on the 18th of April.

Prior to UMC: Gerzin competed for two seasons at Vermillion Community College in his hometown of Ely, Minn...As a sophomore, Gerzin posted a 3-4 mark with a 5.66 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched...He posted 57 strikeouts to 29 walks on the season and gave up just one home run on the season...Gerzin had one complete game on the season and posted five starts in eight appearances on his sophomore season...He also played in the infield, hitting .382 with 32 runs scored, two home runs and 29 RBI's...He posted nine doubles on his sophomore season...As a freshman, Gerzin was 2-4 in 27.1 innings pitched with 28 strikeouts on the season...He had one save on the year and two complete games...At the plate, he had 28 at-bats with one RBI and three runs scored...Gerzin was an All-Region selection as a sophomore...He competed as a prep at Ely High School, where he also played hockey and football...He was named All-Iron Range Football Player of the Year in 2013 after running for 1,981 yards and 26 touchdowns...Gerzin helped lead the Timberwolves to the Minnesota Class 9-Man Football Semi-finals in 2013. Played junior hockey for the Alexandria Blizzard in Alexandria, Minn...for the 2015-16 season and the Colborne Cramahe Hawks in Colborne, Ontario during the 2014-15 season.

Personal: Gerzin is the son of Louis Gerzin and Dawn Anderson...He was born Oct. 9, 1995...Gerzin plans to major in exercise science and sports management.
