2026 (Redshirt Sophomore): Smith appeared in three games for the Golden Eagles, playing mostly as a pinch runner and defensive substitute...He did not have an at-bat, but scored a run as a redshirt sophomore...Served as a reserve infielder for the Golden Eagles and made several trips as part of the travel squad. 

2025 (Redshirt Freshman): Smith played mostly as a late inning substitution in the middle infield, and as a pinch runner...He played in nine games...Smith scored one run, and had his first career hit March 27 versus Concordia-St. Paul...Smith was also hit by one pitch.

2024 (Freshman): Redshirted his initial season with the Golden Eagles...Will have four years to play four. 

Prior to UMN Crookston: Smith played for Aberdeen Central H.S.

Personal: He is the son of Ryan and Kandi Smith...Smith will enroll in the spring semester 2024...He is majoring in exercise science and wellness.
