2019 (Junior Season): Appeared in 12 games for the Golden Eagles with six starts...Pitched 43.0 innings and finished with a 6.91 ERA on the season...Struck out 29 and walked just eight...Picked up the victory over Minnesota State Mankato when Cherry went six innings and gave up just six hits and two runs, while striking out six...Went 3-2 on the season.

2018 (Sophomore Season): Cherry appeared in 11 games, mostly out of the bullpen, with two starts...Cherry was 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA in 25.0 innings pitched...He had 19 strikeouts to six walks...Cherry's win came in 1.2 innings against Northwood University. He allowed 37 hits on the season, and gave up three home runs.

Prior to UMC: Cherry had a successful career out of the bullpen for Northeastern Junior College...The left-handed arm has posted a 0-1 mark with a 8.44 ERA in 16.0 innings pitched as a sophomore for Northeastern Junior College...He went 0-1 with one save in 16 innings pitched with 13 strikeouts as a freshman...Cherry pitched three innings of relief against Seward County C.C., giving up one earned run on four hits...He pitched 1.1 innings versus Otero Junior College, allowing just one earned run on two hits...Cherry shut down Williston State C.C. in one inning of work with no runs on two hits...He played prep ball at Holy Trinity Academy and for the Okotoks Dawgs Baseball Academy...He has been to two Canadian National AAA Bantam and Midget Championships receiving silver medals both times...During his sophomore year, Cherry has proudly served as a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Council, as well as a Student Ambassador.

Personal: He is the son of Gordon and Brenda Cherry...Cherry was born Sept. 18, 1996...He plans to major in golf and turf management...He also competes in curling.
