Biography

2019: Redshirt Junior Season...Appeared in seven games out of the bullpen, finishing with a 11.05 ERA...Struck out seven on the season.

2018: Redshirt Sophomore Season...Appeared in 15 games all out of the bullpen for UMC in 2018. Gave up just 16 hits, compared to just 7 walks. Finished the year with a 3.60 ERA.

2017: Redshirt Freshman season...Appeared in one game against Augustana, giving up two earned runs on one hit in one inning on the mound...Had one strikeout. 

2016: Freshman season...Redshirted his initial season with the Golden Eagles...Will have four years to play four. 

Prior to UMC: Beneda has been a three-time All-Region pick for Park River/Fordville-Lankin H.S...He also competed for the football and basketball teams...As a member of the football team, Beneda was a First Team All-Region selection during his final two seasons...He was named Player of the Game on numerous occasions in all three sports.

Personal: Beneda is the son of Jon and Lori Beneda...He was born March 4, 1997...Beneda plans to major in agricultural business...His aunt Angela Cost was a basketball player at UMC...His uncle, Bryan Malone played baseball for the Golden Eagles...Beneda's mother Lori played basketball and softball at Valley City State University.
