2016: Freshman season...Redshirted initial collegiate season...Will have four years to play four.

Prior to UMC: Newman was a letterwinner in baseball and strength and conditioning...Newman played American Legion for Buffalo...He joins former  UMC player Colton Haight as players from Buffalo H.S. to play for the Golden Eagles...Former Student-athletes Alexa Thielman (women's basketball) and Bailey Braatz (softball) are also Buffalo-products.
