2022 (Redshirt Sophomore): Fonger appeared in 15 games for the Golden Eagles, starting two...He hit .100, with two runs scored, and three RBIs...He posted a .240 on-base percentage. 

2021 (Redshirt Freshman): Fonger appeared in 15 games and started eight for UMN Crookston as a redshirt freshman in 2021...He had a .286 batting average...Fonger posted an .845 OPS...Fonger scored seven runs, with two doubles and four RBIs...He stole four bases on the 2021 season...Fonger posted a 1.000 fielding percentage as he played outstanding in the outfield...He had one assist with 13 putouts and one double play.

2020 (Freshman): Redshirted initial collegiate season for the Golden Eagles.

Prior to Minnesota Crookston: Fonger helped lead Superior High School to their second-straight Lake Superior Conference championship in 2018. He also played football for Superior High School. Fonger played American Legion baseball for the Superior Reds. He has been a four-year varsity starter for Superior High School.
 
Personal: He is the son of Duane and Merry Fonger. Fonger was born Sept. 28, 2000. He plans to major in business and marketing at Minnesota Crookston. His cousin Deric Manrique played baseball at the University of Northern Iowa.
