Hokanson heads into his fourth season as one of the assistant coaches for the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles have advanced to the NSIC Tournament in all four seasons with Hokanson on staff, including a pair of third place finishes in the NSIC regular season.
In the 2023 season, Hokanson was apart of the staff that saw a record breaking year for the Golden Eagles. That year, the Golden Eagles had a school record five players named to the All-Central Region team, including Jake Hjelle, who was named the Central Region Player of the Year. The Golden Eagles also had four players win specialty awards in the NSIC, as well, which is also a program record.
The 2023 season was Coach Hokanson's first as an assistant coach for the Golden Eagles. In his first year, Hokanson assisted the Golden Eagles by coaching them to third in batting, third in pitching and fifth in fielding.
