Biography
2014-15: Junior season...Named All-NSIC First Team...Second on the team in scoring with 14.5 points and first in rebounding with 6.8 rebounds per game...Shot 46.8 percent from the field and 75 percent from the charity stripe...Joined the 1,000 point club against Minot State Feb. 13..Tallied 21 points and 12 rebounds in road win over Bemidji State...Was named NSIC North Player of the Week after Bemidji State performance...Notched 22 points and 11 rebounds in win over Sioux Falls...Performance helped her earn NSIC North Player of the Week honorsHad 25 points against Minot State...Had 10 rebounds against MSU Moorhead to clinch home playoff game and had 10 boards in the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament in Sioux Falls.
2013-14: Sophomore season... Named All-NSIC Second Team... Led team with 15.3 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game... Named NSIC Player of the Week Jan. 6 after 30 point, 11 rebound, and 6 steal performance agaisnt Upper Iowa and 12 point, 9 rebound game against Winona State... Tallied double figure points in all but 2 games... Had 6 double-doubles... Led the team in steals with 1.4 per game.
2012-13: Freshman season... Averaged 9.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game as a freshman en route to an All-NSIC Freshman Team nod... Was also named UMC Newcomer of the Year for 2012-13... Tallied a season-high 20 points against Wayne State Jan. 11... Had 19 points and nine boards in a win over St. Cloud State Feb. 22... Tallied 17 points against Northern State Jan. 25... Had her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 boards versus U-Mary Feb. 15... Blocked three shots versus Upper Iowa Jan. 18... Grabbed three steals against Bemidji State State Dec. 1.
High School: Averaged 17.6 points per game as a senior... She is a four-time all-conference selection, a three-time conference MVP, and a three-time all-state honorable mention player... Moenkedick is a two-year team captain and earned the team’s best field-goal percentage and most steals in tenth grade and best field-goal percentage in eleventh grade... Scored over 1,000 points in her career and is the all-time scoring leader at Perham H.S.
Personal: Nordick is an applied studies major at the University of Minnesota Crookston... She is the daughter of Katy and Andy Moenkedick...She married Josh Nordick in the summer of 2015.
“We feel that Katrina has the ability to be an immediate impact player for the Golden Eagle Women’s Basketball program,” said Mike Roysland. “She has great foot speed and strength to finish around the basket and will give us a lot of flexibility both offensively and defensively.”
