Biography

2017 (Junior): Was the Primary punter and Kicker for the team... Had 77 punts for an average of 38.30 yards... Longest punt of the season went for 77 yards... Day also had 32 kickoffs and two of those were touchbacks... Averaged 43.4 yards on kickoffs... Day's best game came against St. Cloud State where he had 6 punts for 298 yards and averaged nearly 50 yards on the day... Also earned Honorable Mention as a punter.
2016 (Redshirt Sophomore): Was the team's punter for the second-consecutive season...Showed improvement as he had 70 punts for 37.0 yard average...He had a long of 68 with two touchdowns, 12 punts inside the 20 and 12 punts over 50 yards or more...His best game came with two punts for 55.5 yard average against Concordia-St. Paul...Had seven punts for 41.7 yard average against Augustana...Day had two kickoffs for 54.0 yard average.

2015 (Redshirt Freshman): Served as the primary punter for UMC and also split kickoff duties with Mike Maw...Had 71 punts for an average of 35.5 yards with a long of 56...Had one touchback and had 13 punts inside the 20 and nine of 50 yards or more...On kickoffs, averaged 63.5 yards per kick with two touchbacks.

2014 (Freshman): Redshirted the 2014 season.

High School: Played football, soccer, track and field and hockey for Eveleth-Gilbert H.S…Participated in Kohl’s Kicking Camp and Kohl’s Kicking Showcase…Had four-star rating by Kohl’s Kicking Camp…Set school record with 46 yard field goal as a senior…Member of National Honor Society...Is a soccer player who transitioned into football in high school.
