Crookston, Minn. – For the fourth straight year and working in collaboration, the University of Minnesota Crookston Athletics Department and the Golden Eagle Student Athlete Advisory Committee will hold the Regal's Choice Awards.

The Regal's Choice Awards are a celebration of Golden Eagle Athletes and the work they put in their sport, classroom, campus and community.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday at 6 P.M., in Kiehle Auditorium, on the campus of the University of Minnesota Crookston. There will also be a social after the Awards Ceremony in the Bede Ballroom.

The ceremony will be made up of a highlight video, recapping the 2025-26 season in Golden Eagle athletics. It will also have awards for each team, as well. There will also be remarks from SAAC President Sarah Burgum and SAAC Vice-President Grace Alwardt.

Near the end of the ceremony, seniors who will be walking at graduation will get stoles for being a Student-Athlete and we will also honor the Myles Brand Award Winners.

The nine award categories are as follows: Record Breaking Season or Game, Breakthrough Athlete of the Year, Female Newcomer of the Year, Male Newcomer of the Year, Highlight Performance of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, Male Athlete of the Year and the male and female Super GEAG Award, which encompasses what it means to be a student-athlete at Minnesota Crookston.

We will also honor our male and female senior Athletes of the Year, as well as male and female Scholar Athlete of the Year. The Justin Knebel Scholarship Award will also be awarded to a men's basketball student-athlete.
