Wayne, Neb. -- Minnesota Crookston women's golf ended the Wildcat Classic in Nebraska the same way they ended day one, in 10th out of 15 teams.
Nebraska Kearney won the tournament after shooting 294 as a team on Tuesday, moving up four spots. Concordia-St. Paul also moved up the leaderboard four spots, shooting 299 during the final round and finishing in second. Minnesota State and Wayne State College each moved down and finished in a tie for third.
Claire Berquist of Nebraska Kearney shot even par during the final round and finished in a tie with Addi Wood of Concordia-St. Paul, who moved up 14 spots after shooting two under on the day.
Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) finished the tournament 15 over par (159) and finished in 38th. Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) was outstanding on the day, ending the round with a four over 76, moving up 24 spots on the leaderboard and finishing in a tie for 42nd. Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Neb.) and Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) also moved up and finished in a tie for 53rd and 56th, respectively. Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) and Lilly Mahlberg (Sr., Worthington, Minn.) finished 60th and 73rd, respectively.
The Golden Eagles will now have a week to prepare for the NSIC Championships in Blue Springs, Mo.
