Anaka Lysne's Outstanding Season Continues as She Finishes Third at SMSU Challenge; Golden Eagles Finish Fourth as Team

Arizona -- Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) finished third at the SMSU Challenge, her second top-five finish in Arizona, pacing the Golden Eagles to a fourth place finish as a team at the Wigwam Resort.

Minnesota Crookston was the second highest finish as an NSIC school, as Augustana finished second, 11 strokes behind the winner, Colorado Mesa. MSU Denver finished third, 17 strokes ahead of the Golden Eagles.

Payton Panzeri of Colorado Mesa won the tournament as an individual, while Lanie Veenendall of Augustana finished a stroke ahead of Lysne for second place.

Lysne, the two time all-conference performer, finished with 12 pars on the day. Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.) finished in 13th place, shooting 11 over par on the day.

Libby Dulmage (Jr., Leeds, N.D.) was outstanding again for the Golden Eagles, finishing in 34th place, moving up 12 spots after shooting 13 over par on the round. Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) and Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) finished in 40th and 44th, respectively.

After a long week in Arizona, the Golden Eagles will have a week to get ready for a tournament hosted by Washburn University.
