Hudson, Wis. – Following their second straight second place finish at the Tracy Lane Memorial hosted by Bemidji State, Minnesota Crookston women's golf hits the links once again on Monday and Tuesday, this time at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl in Hudson, Wis.
The 36-hole tournament will be held at the Troy Burne Golf Club in Hudson.
Minnesota Crookston finished day one a stroke ahead of Concordia-St. Paul but finished in second place.
The Golden Eagles had outstanding performances from several golfers, including
Emma Pierson (Fr., Cherry Valley, Ill.), who finished the first 18 holes in a tie for first after shooting a career best 79. Pierson ended up in a tie for seventh. Two-time All-NSIC performer
Anaka Lysne (Sr., Wahpeton, N.D.) continued to be super consistent, placing sixth after shooting a 165 through the two rounds.
Ainsley McLain (Jr., Grafton, N.D.) shot up the leaderboards on the final day, finishing in ninth after shooting a final round 79.
Lauren Bowyer (Sr., Ivanhoe, Minn.) finished in 15
th, the best finish of her career as a Golden Eagle.
A year ago, the Golden Eagles finished in seventh place at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl.
The Golden Eagles will be competing against an outstanding field, including: Concordia-St. Paul, Southwest Minnesota State, Minot State, St. Catherine University, Northwest Missouri State, Sioux Falls, Minnesota State, Upper Iowa, Winona State, University of Jamestown, UMary and Washburn University.
The tournament will kick off on Monday morning and continue into Tuesday afternoon.
