CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston women's soccer program released their 2025 schedule as they open a new era of soccer under Head Coach Danny Burstein. The Golden Eagles are slated to play 18 regular-season games, including 15 conference games, and three non-conference. Minnesota Crookston will also play an exhibition, and an intersquad scrimmage.
The Golden Eagles will commence the 2025 season with an exhibition August 23 at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn. The Saints went 0-15-4 in the MIAC in NCAA Division III in 2024. Minnesota Crookston will host an intersquad scrimmage at the Minnesota Crookston Soccer Field August 30 to conclude their exhibition slate.
The Golden Eagles commence their regular season Thursday, September 4 against Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa. The Peacocks, a former NSIC member and current GLVC member, went 4-8-4 in 2024.
Minnesota Crookston has their home regular-season debut Sunday, September 7 at 12 p.m., against Black Hills State University at the Minnesota Crookston Soccer Field. The Yellow Jackets posted a 3-11-4 mark in 2024.
Minnesota Crookston concludes the non-conference slate against a conference foe in Minnesota State University Moorhead. The Golden Eagles will face the Dragons in Moorhead, Minn., at 3 p.m., Friday, September 12. The Dragons went 1-14-3 in 2024.
The Golden Eagles open conference play Friday, September 19 at 3 p.m., versus Wayne State College. The Wildcats went 7-7-5 in 2024. Minnesota Crookston remains at home to host Augustana University Sunday, September 21 at 1 p.m. The Vikings posted a 10-5-4 mark in 2024.
The U of M Crookston hits the road to face the University of Sioux Falls Cougars Friday, September 26 at 4 p.m., in Sioux Falls, S.D. USF went 2-15-1 in 2024. They will hit the pavement to head over to Marshall, Minn., Sunday, September 28 to face Southwest Minnesota State University at 1 p.m. The Mustangs posted a 2-14-2 record in 2024.
The Golden Eagles return home the following weekend for Homecoming festivities. Minnesota Crookston hosts University of Jamestown for the first time as a conference foe Friday, October 3 at 3 p.m., in Crookston, Minn. The Jimmies went 10-8 in their final season in the NAIA. The U of M Crookston continues their home slate Sunday, October 5 at 1 p.m., versus Northern State University. The Wolves finished 7-7-4 last season.
Minnesota Crookston journeys on the road again beginning Friday, October 10 in Winona, Minn., as they face Winona State University at 5 p.m. The Warriors went 6-8-2 in 2024. Their road excursion continues Sunday, October 12 as they face Concordia University-St. Paul at 1 p.m. The Golden Bears went 13-4-4 last season.
Minnesota Crookston remains on the road Friday, October 17 for a 6 p.m., start time at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn. The Beavers went 9-7-3 in 2024.
The Golden Eagles return home for a three-game stand commencing with the University of Minnesota Duluth Sunday, October 19 at 1 p.m., in Crookston, Minn. The Bulldogs went 2-12-3 in 2024. Minnesota Crookston hosts Minnesota State University Friday, October 24 at 3 p.m. The Mavericks went 18-2-7 last season. They will finish their home stand Sunday, October 26 at 1 p.m., against St. Cloud State University. The Huskies were 11-4-5 last season.
Minnesota Crookston opens their final home trip Friday, October 31 for a Halloween meeting against Minot State University at 5 p.m. The Beavers posted an 11-4-5 mark last season. They will then travel to Bismarck, N.D., to take on the University of Mary Sunday, November 2 at 1 p.m. UMary went 11-4-4 in 2024.
The Golden Eagles wrap up the regular season with their second game of the slate against MSU Moorhead, this one for the U.S. Highway 75 Rivalry Rock. The game will be at home Thursday, November 6 at 3 p.m., in Crookston, Minn.
