BROOKINGS, S.D. - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team was defeated by No. 9 Baylor University Saturday, March 8 at DeHaan Equestrian Center in Brookings, S.D., 11-3. The Golden Eagles faced Baylor in a two-day meet Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8.

The Golden Eagles were highlighted by an MOP performances. Ava Jo Glenn (So. Ennis, Texas) picked up an MOP in Horsemanship following a 74-71.5 win over Anna Thron on Marley.

In addition, Emma Mutnansky (Fr., Cass Lake, Minn.) earned a win in Horsemanship with a 72.5-72 defeat of Carley Rutledge on Ranger.

In Fences, Minnesota Crookston was led by Belle Syrett (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba) with a 75. Kaylynn Berry (Fr., Louisville, Ky.) had a 73 in Fences.

In Flat, Syrett had her second-highest score of the season with a 71 on Sweet Pea.Â

In Horsemanship, Hailey Hanson (Fr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) had a 71 to go with the wins from Glenn, and Mutnansky.

In Reining, to go with Madison Wojcek's point, Madison Wachtel (So., Wells, Nev.) had a 69-69 tie with Emma Moomaw.

The Golden Eagles are wrapping up their weekend later Saturday, March 8 against South Dakota State University.
