Crookston, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston is getting ready for their final home weekend of the semester as Dakota College at Bottineau comes to town. The Lumberjacks are entering this weekend with a 3-8-0 record, along with a -46 goal differential and are currently on a four game losing streak. On the flip side, the Golden Eagles are 10-2-0 with a +43 goal differential and are riding a four game winning streak.

The Golden Eagles and the Lumberjacks have gone head to head 10 times, with the Golden Eagles dominating the all time series with a 9-1-0 record. The Golden Eagles lost the second game to the Lumberjacks, but have won eight straight since then. The Golden Eagles have scored 56 goals for an average of 5.6 goals per game, allowing 26 goals for 2.6 goals against per game.

The Golden Eagles Player to Watch this weekend is Ben Hines (Jr., F, Detroit Lakes, Minn.) who is currently seventh on the team in scoring. Hines has been an incredible player for the Golden Eagles this year, with five goals and seven assists for 12 points in 11 games. Hines has been on a tear as of late and is currently on a seven game point streak, he has played all throughout the lineup as a forward, filling roles in the top and bottom six as both a center and a winger. Hines' physical play has been a massive momentum boost for the Golden Eagles, and he will look to keep that going this weekend.

The Golden Eagles and Lumberjacks will open the series this Saturday, November 29th, at 5 p.m. at the Crookston Sports Center. Game two will be on Sunday with a noon puckdrop.
