DAVIS, Calif. - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian faced off in a pair of NCEA meets at the UC Davis Equestrian Center. The Golden Eagles fell 18-2 to UC Davis, and 12-4 to Delaware State University. Ava Jo Glenn (So., Ennis, Texas) was the MOP in Horsemanship against Delaware State with a 75, a season high. Madison Wojcek (So., Bremerton, Wash.) was the MOP in Horsemanship against UC Davis with a 75, tying her second-best score of the season.
Against Delaware State, Kaylynn Berry (Fr., Louisville, Ky.) picked up a point in Fences with an 83-74 win on BamBam over Grace Mangrum, tying her season high. Belle Syrett (So., Winnipeg, Manitoba) scored an 81, while Alexandra Wentland (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) picked up a 79-73 win over Olivia Brown on Calida.
Wentland had the best score for the Golden Eagles in Flat with a 68. Glenn earned the MOP and won 75-74 over Ashley Grasso on Belle. Wojcek tallied a 71.5 on Spookadee against Delaware State.
In Reining, Samantha Lyons (Fr., Lisbon, N.D.) picked up a 69-0 win on GT. Hailey Hanson (Fr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.), and Madison Wachtel (So., Wells, Nev.) also had strong rides.
In Fences against UC Davis, Syrett paced the Golden Eagles with an 83 on Otis. Wentland had the best score for Minnesota Crookston in Flat, with a 69.
Wojcek earned the MOP in Horsemanship with a 75-74 win over Laura Holliday on Bella. Marley Halse (So., Mountlake Terrace, Wash.) picked up a 70.5 on Spookadee.
In Reining, Halse paced the Golden Eagles with a 68.5.
Minnesota Crookston next competes February 7 against UT Martin in Auburn, Ala.
