MARTIN, Tenn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team fell 18-1 to the University of Tennessee-Martin Friday, March 1 at McWherter Agricultural Complex in Martin, Tenn.
In fences, Juliana Gullo (So., Itasca, Ill.) put up the highest score of the season for the Golden Eagles with an 83 on Dubs, falling 85-83 to Sydney Hott. Belle Syrett (Fr., Winnipeg, Manitoba) tallied an 80 on Bond.
Minnesota Crookston scored a point in Flat, as Gullo defeated Brideget Vieau 80-79 on Rebel. The 80 was the highest flat score of the season for Minnesota Crookston. Gabriella Siefkes (Sr., Aberdeen, S.D.) fell 86-80 on Ferrari, but tied Gullo for the highest flat score of the 2023-24 season.
The Golden Eagles were very competitive in Horsemanship. Marley Halse (Fr., Mountlake Terrace, Wash.) fell 75-74.5 on Baymo. Ava Jo Glenn (Fr., Ennis, Texas) scored a 74 on Dinero. Madison Wachtel (Fr.,Wells, Nev.) scored a 72.5. Madison Wojcek (Fr., Bremerton, Wash.) notched a 72, while RaeAnna Danielson (So., Harris, Minn.) scored a 71.5.
Minnesota Crookston was also very competitive in Reining. Halse notched a 67.5 on Chloe. Glenn tallied a 67 on RR Tia. Wachtel scored a 64 on Shiner. Danielson tallied a 63 on Sarge, while Wojcek notched a 60 on Cobra.
The Golden Eagles compete in the ECAC Championships March 25-27 in Rancho Murrietta, Calif.
