CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston equestrian team will continue their 2022-23 NCEA season Friday, February 10 and Saturday, February 11 at DeHaan Equestrian Center in Brookings, S.D. The Golden Eagles will compete against South Dakota State University Saturday, February 11 at 10 a.m., and Delaware State University Friday at 2 p.m., and Saturday at 8 a.m.

Minnesota Crookston comes into the weekend with an 0-6 mark. The Golden Eagles made strides last week against the University of California-Davis, Fresno State University, and Baylor University. Minnesota Crookston got three points against both Fresno State and Baylor. South Dakota State enters the weekend with a 1-6 record, while Delaware State is 3-4.
The Golden Eagles were led last week by
Belle Sand (So., Spicer, Minn.), who garnered Most Outstanding Performance (MOP) accolades in horsemanship and reining. UMN Crookston picked up points against Baylor from
Alex Pfaffenbach (Jr., Appleton, Wis.), and
Josie Mills (So., Brandon, S.D.) In the meet with Fresno State, Sand,
Olivia Becker (Sr., Deer Park, Wis.), and
Keira Boedigheimer (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) picked up points for the Golden Eagles.
