Minnesota Crookston Hockey Heads on the Road to Bethel Friday and Saturday

CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston hockey team will return to the ice after an off week. The Golden Eagles will take on Bethel University in a WCCHA series Friday, November 4 at 9:15 p.m., and Saturday, November 5 at 1:10 p.m. at Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn.

The Golden Eagles enter the weekend at the top of the standings in the Northwest Division, along with the University of Minnesota. UMN Crookston has an unblemished 4-0-0 mark after sweeps of the University of Jamestown and the University of North Dakota.

Bethel University has a 2-0 mark coming into the weekend. The two teams have not played as the games against Bethel were cancelled last season.

Minnesota Crookston Preview
The Golden Eagles have been guided by the play of Logan Syrup (So., F, Park River, N.D.) through the first two weeks. Syrup leads the team with nine points, with four goals, and five assists. Jake Huska (Jr., D, Snow Lake, Manitoba) has been an important addition for the Golden Eagles. Huska leads the team with six assists and is second on the squad with seven points. Team captain Casey Kallock (Sr., D, Alvarado, Minn.) has been an All-American and All-Region performer for the Golden Eagles. Kallock has two goals and three assists. Tyler Zahradka (Jr., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) comes into Friday with three goals and two assists. Jackson Fuller (So., F, Minneapolis, Minn.) comes in with two goals and three assists, while Dylan Borseth (Sr., F, Williston, N.D.) has two goals and three assists.

In between the pipes, Jared Aamold (So., G, Breckenridge, Minn.) has led the way for UMN Crookston. Aamold has a 1.50 goals against average in two starts. Jake Sumner (Jr., G, Alta Loma, Calif.) comes in with a 2.00 goals against average, while Braden Schmitz (So., G, Devils Lake, N.D.) has a 4.00 goals against average.

Bethel Preview
Bethel has been propelled by the play of Peter Engelking, with five goals and one assist. Jackson Olimb leads the team with six assists coming into Friday. Matthew Carlsen comes in with three goals and one assist.

In goal, Hunter Hadsock has a 2.00 goals against average, while Logan Moe has a 3.00 goals against average.
