CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Duluth earned an 84-45 victory over the University of Minnesota Crookston men's basketball team Sat., Feb. 6 at Romano Gymnasium in Duluth, Minn.
The Golden Eagles fall to 2-10 (1-9 NSIC) with Saturday's loss as UMD picks up the series sweep. Minnesota Duluth moves to 4-5 (3-5 NSIC) with the victory.

Minnesota Crookston looked to 19 points from
Brian Sitzmann (R-Jr., G, Savage, Minn.) on 7-of-12 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Leonard Dixon (Jr., F, Damascus, Ore.) added seven points.
Josh Dilling (Fr., G, Oshkosh, Wis.) had six points and six rebounds.
Minnesota Duluth was paced by 22 points and seven rebounds from Charlie Katona. Katona was 9-of-14 from the field. Joshua Brown added 19 points, including shooting 5-of-6 from beyond the arc. Austin Andrews finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Mason Steffen chipped in with 10 points.

The Golden Eagles struggled from the field going just 16-of-54 for 29.6 percent. UMN Crookston was 5-of-21 from beyond the arc for 23.8 percent and 8-of-14 from the foul line for 57.1 percent.
Minnesota Crookston committed 19 turnovers on the game. They also lost the battle of the glass 35-30.
Minnesota Duluth was hot from the field as they shot 33-of-56 for 58.9 percent. The Bulldogs hit 12-of-23 shots from beyond the arc for 52.2 percent.
Key Runs
The Golden Eagles were within six points, 17-11, at the 9:24 mark following a Dixon jumper. UMD then responded by going on a 16-3 run guided by four three-pointers. The Bulldogs went into the break up 40-22.
After the opening bucket of the second half by Katona, the Golden Eagles would not be able to get within under 20 points the rest of the way. Minnesota Duluth picked up the 84-45 victory.
