CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston hockey team will hit the road to face the Minnesota State University, Mankato ACHA Division II squad Friday, November 12 at 10 p.m. at All Seasons Arena in Mankato, Minn., and Saturday, November 13 at 9 a.m. at the Four Seasons Centre in Owatonna, Minn.
The game will mark an interdivisional game in the Western Collegiate Club Hockey Association (WCCHA) for both squads. The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 2-1-1 (1-0-1 WCCHA) mark. Minnesota State is 5-1-0 (5-1-0 WCCHA) entering the weekend series.
Minnesota Crookston opened up WCCHA play last weekend, defeating the University of North Dakota 3-0 Friday and skating to a 6-6 tie Saturday against the Fighting Hawks at home at the Crookston Sports Center. The Golden Eagles have been led during the 2021 season by
Nikolai Rajala (Fr., F, Coleraine, Minn.) with three goals and six assists.
Tyler Zahradka (So., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) comes in with seven goals and one assist. Zahradka had a big weekend, including a hat trick last Friday against UND. He totaled five goals on the weekend.
Casey Kallock (Sr., D, Alvarado, Minn.), a 2021 ACHA Division II Second Team All-American, has two goals and five assists.
Logan Syrup (Fr., F, Park River, N.D.) comes in with one goal and six assists for the Golden Eagles.
Dylan Borseth (Jr., F, Williston, N.D.) has one goal and one assist on the season, while
Dylan Neubauer (Fr., F, Thompson, N.D.) has notched one goal and an assist.
Josh Pieper (Sr., D/F, Baudette, Minn.) has a goal on the season, while Samuel Baxter (Fr., D, Grafton, N.D.),
Jackson Fuller (Fr., F, Bloomington, Minn.), and
Austin Ryba (So., F, Thief River Falls, Minn.) each have an assist on the season.
In goal, UMN Crookston has been led by
Jared Aamold (Fr., G, Breckenridge, Minn.) with a 0.00 goals against average and a 1.000 saves percentage. Aamold had a shutout against UND Friday.
Braden Schmitz (Fr., G, Devils Lake, N.D.) comes in with a 2.72 goals against average and a .929 saves percentage.

Minnesota State Preview
Minnesota State is 5-1 (5-1 WCCHA) for the 2021-22 season. The Mavericks are coming off a sweep of Winona State University last weekend.
Minnesota State is led by Parker Jamison with two goals and one assist. Ryan Quaintance has two goals on the year, as does Alec Zedilik. Bryce Simon, Austin Cunnien, and Hayden Evien each have one goal and one assist.
In net, Connor Hayden leads the Mavericks with a 2.01 goals against average on the season.
