CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston hockey program is set for a non-conference series with Dakota College at Bottineau Saturday, December 4 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, December 5 at 1 p.m. at the Crookston Sports Center.
The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 4-4-2 (2-2-2 WCCHA) mark. UMN Crookston is in fourth place in the Northwest Division. Minnesota Crookston is coming off a split on the road against University of Jamestown with an 8-3 victory Friday and a 6-3 loss Saturday.
The Golden Eagles have been led on the season by
Tyler Zahradka (So., F, Grand Forks, N.D.) with a team-high 14 goals. Zahradka has three assists on the year.
Logan Syrup (Fr., F, Park River, N.D.) comes in with five goals and 12 assists on the year.
Nikolai Rajala (Fr., F, Coleraine, Minn.) enters the weekend with six goals and 11 assists for the Golden Eagles. Defensively,
Casey Kallock (Sr., D, Alvarado, Minn.), a 2021 ACHA Division II Second Team All-American, leads the way with four goals and 10 assists.
Sam Baxter (Fr., D, Grafton, N.D.) comes in with two goals and four assists.
In goal,
Braden Schmitz (Fr., G, Devils Lake, N.D.) leads the way with a 2.51 goals against average in over 167 minutes of ice time.
Jared Aamold (Fr., G, Breckenridge, Minn.) comes in with a 3.67 goals against average, while
Jake Sumner (So., G, Alta Loma, Calif.) has a 4.49 goals against average. Sumner is coming off two strong outings. He picked up a 6-2 win over the University of Minnesota, followed by an 8-3 win Friday versus Jamestown.

Dakota College at Bottineau
Dakota College at Bottineau comes in ranked No. 2 in the ACHA Division II west region. The Lumberjacks are 5-4-1 on the season. They are coming off a 2-2 tie against defending National Champion University of Mary Sunday, November 28.
The Lumberjacks have been led on the season by Ian Amsbaugh with seven goals and 10 assists. Ryan Patterson comes in with eight goals and six assists on the season, while Zane Macdonald has five goals and nine assists on the season.
In goal, Matt Trulsen leads the way with a 3.35 goals against average in five games. Jordan Berschiminsky has a 3.71 goals against average in four games in goal, while Sergei Golin has a 3.89 goals against average in one game.
