CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston women's soccer home returns home Fri., Oct. 25 and Sun., Oct. 27 to face Augustana University and Wayne State College at the Minnesota Crookston Soccer Field in Crookston, Minn. The Golden Eagles will take the conference-leading Vikings at 3 p.m., Friday, and then will host Wayne State on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Minnesota Crookston Tidbits
The Golden Eagles are looking for their first win of the 2019 season heading into the home stretch of the 2019 season. Minnesota Crookston continues to grow in their first season under Head Coach
Kyle Halfpop. The Golden Eagles played some of their best soccer against the No. 16 Concordia-St. Paul. Minnesota Crookston kept the highest-ranked NSIC team at 1-0 for the majority of the game before giving up an 83
rd minute goal. The Golden Eagles made the Golden Bears work on the offensive end. Coach Halfpop was also pleased with the play of the team in the first 27 minutes of Friday's game with No. 23 Minnesota State.
Minnesota Crookston has strong points to build on heading into the weekend. The Golden Eagles have been led by forward
Maggie Peterson (Jr., Princeton, Minn.) with one goal and one assist.
Kiya Gere (So., D, Vancouver, Wash.) continues to provide a strong force on the wing or at center back. She has a goal on the season, as well. The Golden Eagles have seen improved play from
Latafale Niumeitolu (Fr., MF, Sandy, Utah) in the center of the park.
In net, Minnesota Crookston has utilized both
Jacqueline Burke (Sr., GK/D, Anchorage, Alaska) and
Athena DiMario Done (Jr., GK, Windsor, Ontario). Burke has a 4.57 goals against average in four games with 34 saves, while DiMario Done has a 3.57 goals against average with 57 saves in seven games. Burke has made some strong saves in recent weeks, while continuing to improve after not playing goalie since her freshman season.
Augustana Preview
The Vikings currently lead the NSIC with a 11-1-1 (9-0-1- NSIC) mark. Augustana is currently receiving votes nationally. The Vikings are averaging 2.15 goals per game, while allowing just 0.69 goals per tilt to their foes.
Augustana has been led by forward Grace Behm with six goals and one assist. Sylvia Fehr has added five goals and two assists, while Claire Dahm has five goals and an assist. Josie Arduser has been a great facilitator with two goals and six assists, while Peyton Stenzel has one goal and four assists.
In net, Augie looks to Claudia Pueschner with a 0.59 goals against average with 64 saves.
Wayne State Preview
Wayne State has posted a 5-4-4 (5-3-2 NSIC) record. The Wildcats tied Northern State 1-1 last Sunday, and lost 1-0 to MSU Moorhead last Friday. Wayne State is averaging just 0.69 goals per game, while allowing one goal a game to their foes.
The Wildcats look to Rylie Wehner with two goals and one assist, while Megan Phillips has two goals on the year. Gabi Rosa and Sophie Kretchmark have been stirring the drink, as they have helped set up their teammates. Rosa has one goal and two assists, while Kretchmark has three assists.
In goal, Rachel Grisham has posted a 0.94 goals against average with 54 saves.
