Box Score Crookston, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team opened up NSIC conference play with a 3-0 loss to Bemidji State University, Tuesday evening. The loss drops Crookston's overall record to 0-3 while BSU sits at 1-0.
All three Bemidji State goals came in the first half with scores by Rachel Norton (Jr., Mounds View, MInn.) in the 4
th minute and 12
th. Allyson Smith (Fr., Brainerd, Minn.) assisted on both goals. Alanna Mattson (Fr., Princeton, Minn.) scored the final goal of the game which came at 41:26 in the first half.
Sophomore,
Olivia Puttin (Rogers, Minn.) got the start in goal, made two saves and picks up the loss. Freshman,
Athena DiMario Done (Windsor, Ontario) played the second half, making three total saves.
The Golden Eagles had a pair of good scoring opportunities in the second half but were unable to get a shot on goal while BSU took 14 total shots in the conference match, eight of which made it on net.
