Crookston, Minn.- The UM Crookston soccer team will play a pair of road NSIC games this weekend as they travel to MSU Mankato for a Friday afternoon tilt, followed by a Sunday afternoon match at Concordia University, St. Paul.
The Golden Eagles will need up their offensive output that has been led by midfielder
Jessica Withrow (Gardnerville, Nev.). The freshman leads her team with a pair of goals, the second came last weekend when she pounced on a rebound that got away from the University of Mary goalkeeper, in a 4-1 Crookston loss.
Jessica Scott (Jr., Post Falls, Idaho) and
Maggie Peterson (Fr., Princeton, Minn.) lead the UM Crookston offensive effort as they have seven and six shots, respectively.

The Mavericks enter Friday's contest with a record of 7-1, 5-0 in conference play. In their last contest they defeated Concordia University, St. Paul 1-0 in a midweek match.
MSU has outscored their opponents 14-2 and outshot them 195-66. Four players have put in multi-goal efforts this season with forward Morgan Cottew (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn.) topping the list with two goals and one assist. The Mavericks have used three keepers in 2017 with Ryann Rydeen (So., Spokane, Wash.) and Taylor Livermore (Jr., Muscatine, Iowa) logging the bulk of the minutes and both posting goals against averages of 0.00.
Sunday, October 1 – 1:00 at Concordia University, St. Paul
The Golden Bears commence weekend play with a NSIC mark of 3-1-1, 5-2-1 overall. Coming off the loss to MSU, Concordia had a five game unbeaten streak snapped.
CSP has been led by a pair of goal scorers as midfielder Jordan Rowan-Stafford (Oakdale, Minn.) has two goals and three assists while Jade Weller (Prior Lake, Minn.) has chipped in with two goals and one assist.
Two goalkeepers have split time for the Golden Bears with Jordyn Clark (So., Eagan, Minn.) posting a goals against of .77 and Emily Nelson (So., Brooklyn Park, Minn.) entering the weekend with a mark of .99.
