Box Score Crookston, Minn.- The U of M Crookston soccer team dropped their second game of the weekend, Sunday afternoon, as they were defeated 5-1 by Upper Iowa University. The conference loss drops the Golden Eagles NSIC record to 0-3, 0-5 overall.

Ellie Brettschneider (Lakeville, Minn./Sport and Recreation Management) made a great pass to set fellow senior
Nikki Dogan (Grand Forks, N.D./Health Science) on goal, who finished things off with a booming shot from 20 yards out. The goal was Dogan's first of the season and it came in the 18
th minute of play.
At the 20:07 mark, the Peacocks answered with a goal by Rachel Fowler (Sr., Kennoway, Scotland) who finished off a free kick by Maddie North (So., Leysdown-On-Sea, England). Fowler scored her second goal of the game in the 29
th minute as she hit the back of the net off a free kick of her own. Corel Carmichael (So., Trinidad and Tobago) improved the UIU lead to 3-1 in the 30
th minute before Jordyn Ostrowski (Jr., Ringle, Wisc.) closed out the half with a pair of unassisted goals. Neither team scored in the second period with both teams having quality chances.
Sophomore goalkeeper,
Olivia Puttin (Rogers, Minn.) played the first half making three total saves and facing 11 total shots. Frosh,
Athena DiMario Done (Windsor, Ontario) played the second half in goal where she made two saves and faced seven Peacock shots.
The Golden Eagles will return to action on Friday when they travel to Minot State University (2-3-1, 1-2 NSIC). Opening kick in the NSIC match is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
