CROOKSTON, Minn. – The University of Minnesota Crookston football team is officially slated to open Spring Ball with their first practice scheduled for Fri., March 24 at 3:30 p.m.
The Golden Eagles are currently scheduled for scrimmages Sat., April 1 at 9:30 a.m. at Red River High School in Grand Forks, N.D., Fri., April 7 at 4 p.m. at the LeClair Practice Fields and their annual Spring Game Sat., April 22 at 2 p.m. at Ed Widseth Field. The spring game is slated to pit the offense versus the defense with a special teams section of the scrimmage, as well.
Minnesota Crookston is under the leadership this spring of Interim Head Coach
Mark Dufner, who is entering his 16
th season with the Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles currently have 56 student-athletes on the roster as spring ball opens. In addition to Dufner, assistant coaches
Dave Volk,
Tom Miller,
Levi Bullerman and
Sam Smith all return from last season, while
Michael Orts has joined the team as the quarterbacks and wide receivers coach.
All practice times and scrimmage times will be contingent on weather.
