We sat down on Thursday with recently hired University of Minnesota Crookston volleyball Head Coach Sarah Rauen. She officially began her duties with the Golden Eagles on Monday.

Rauen talked to us about her volleyball philosophy and what fans can expect to see on the court in the years to come for Minnesota Crookston. In addition, she touched on her recruiting philosophy and her focus on recruiting some of the best talent in the region, including in the state of Minnesota. Rauen also talked  about how excited she was to get into the gym on Thursday for the first time and start working with the players in small groups. Lastly, she discussed what it was about the UMC job that really intrigued her and how welcoming the campus staff already has been to her in just the first few days on the job.
