Golden Eagles to Battle for Highway 75 Rival Rock Against MSU Moorhead; Host Northern State Sunday

CROOKSTON, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team travels to Moorhead on Friday for the 2017 edition of the Battle for the Rivalry Rock. This will be the fifth year for the Highway 75 rivalry, with the away team winning each year so far. Following the Friday evening NSIC contest, Crookston will host Northern State University for another conference match, on Sunday.

The Golden Eagles offense still hasn't found their stride in 2017 but they have been led by midfielder Jessica Withrow's pair of goals. The Gardnerville, Nev. native has only taken three shots on the season and will need to break free if the Golden Eagles are to put one in the win column this weekend.

Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Puttin (Rogers, Minn.) is coming off back-to-back performances where she has made double-digit saves and she will look to earn her first win of the season.
