CROOKSTON, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team will board the bus and hit the road for a pair of NSIC matches over the weekend. On Saturday the Golden Eagles will take on Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall then turn things around and head to Sioux Falls for a Sunday afternoon match at the University of Sioux Falls.
For two straight weekends, the Minnesota Crookston squad has earned points in the NSIC standings as they tied Wayne State College 1-1 last Sunday and played to a 0-0 draw with MSU Moorhead the previous weekend.
Sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Puttin (Rogers, Minn.) has dropped her goals against average by over a point to 2.88. Over her last four games she has a goals against of 1.00 and will look to continue the pace if the Golden Eagles are to get one in the W column this weekend.

Minnesota Crookston will arrive in Marshall with an overall record of 0-11-2, 0-9-2 in NSIC play. The Mustangs will enter the weekend match with an overall record of 0-13, 0-11 in conference play.
The Mustangs have been outscored 37-6 through their 13 games played, and outshot 267-105. Two goalkeepers have split time for SMSU with Jenna Meyer (Fr., Deerfield, Wisc.) entering the match with a goals against of 2.78 and a record of 0-8, while Jessica Craigmile (So., Adel, Iowa) has a record of 0-5, and a goals against of 2.91.
Senior forward Amanda Hartman (Savage, Minn.) has provided more than half of the Mustangs offense in 2017 as she has three goals to go along with a pair of assists.
Last weekend Southwest was defeated 3-1 by UMD and 2-1 by St. Cloud State.

The Cougars enter the weekend on a three game winless streak and an overall record of 4-7-3, 3-5-3 in the NSIC. Last weekend USF played a couple close matches where they were knocked off 1-0 by St. Cloud State and tied UM Duluth, 1-1.
Sioux Falls has scored 14 goals this season and a large amount of their offensive output has come from Lauren LaFavre (So., Burnsville, Minn.) and Morgan Lovato (Fr., Henderson, Nev.). LaFavre has scored five goals and chipped in with two assists, while Lovato has scored four goals, with one assist.
Junior keeper Morgan Perkins (Liberty, Mo.) has work almost all of the Cougars' minutes in goal where she has made 100 total saves and has a goals against average of 1.44.
