Box Score St. Paul, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team played another road conference game Sunday afternoon, where they were defeated 3-0 by the Golden Bears of Concordia University, St. Paul. The win drops the Golden Eagles conference record to 0-7 while the Bears improve to 4-2-1.
All of the game's scoring came in the first twenty minutes of play. Cayla Renwick (Fr., Cedar Rapids, Iowa) scored the first two CSP markers as she found the back of the net in the 9
th and 12
th minutes of play. The final score came off the foot of Hannah Pavek (So., Eagan, Minn.) as she got a shot past UM Crookston keeper
Olivia Puttin (So., Rogers, Minn.). Puttin faced 25 total Concordia shots, 13 of which made it on goal. The ten saves makes the second straight game that the sophomore keeper has made double-digit saves.
The Golden Eagles got four shots off in the conference loss; the lone shot on goal came off the foot of
Shonali Pierce (Fr., Streamwood, Ill.).
The Crookston squad will have a couple days to prepare for their next contest as they travel to Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday for another road NSIC game. Opening whistle is scheduled for 4:00 pm in Moorhead, Minn.
