Box Score Aberdeen, S.D.- The UMC soccer team hit the road for another NSIC match, Sunday afternoon, where they came up short in a 1-0 overtime loss to Northern State University. The loss drops the Golden Eagles' conference record to 1-7-1, 2-9-1 overall.

The two teams played through the scoreless 90 minutes of regulation where Northern State outshot the Golden Eagles 19-7. NSU again outshot UMC, 4-1, in the bonus play with the winning goal coming in the tenth minute of overtime as Darian Leschewski (So., Cape Coral, Fla.) beat UMC freshman keeper,
Jacqueline Burke (Anchorage, Alaska) on a shot from 16 yards out. Burke made nine total saves in the conference loss that dropped her record to 0-2 as a starter. Freshman midfielder,
Lindsey Daml (North Pole, Alaska) had a pair of good chances to get the Golden Eagles on the board as she took three total shots, two of which made it onto the NSU goal.

The Golden Eagles will have most of this week to prepare for a pair of road games next weekend when they travel to Wayne State College and Augustana University. Opening kick on Saturday is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in Wayne, Neb. and Sunday's start in Sioux Falls, S.D. is also scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
