CROOKSTON, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Crookston Teambackers presented a check for $15,000 to support scholarships for student-athletes at UMC. The money will be used for scholarships to support members of UMC 11 athletic programs.
The UMC Teambackers clu is an athletic promotion and fundraising organization for UMC. It operates in conjunction with the development office, athletic department and the University of Minnesota Foundation. The UMC Teambackers has been integral in helping support student-athletes for the Golden Eagles during the organizations's existence.
President of UMC Teambackers, Kari Torkelson '91, recently presented the check of $15,000 to Director of Athletics
Stephanie Helgeson, along with Director of Development & Alumni Relations Corby Kemmer and Development Officer Garret Kollin development officer.

The University of Minnesota Crookston is a NCAA Division II university located in the Red River Valley of Northwest Minnesota. UMC sponsors 11 intercollegiate athletic teams with membership in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate conference (NSIC) and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
