Box Score Winona, Minn.- The Golden Eagle win streak ends at three as UMC was knocked off, 2-0, by the Warriors of Winona State University, Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Golden Eagles overall record to 6-9-1, 6-7 in conference play.

WSU outshot the Golden Eagles 28-7 in the NSIC match with UMC goalkeeper,
Lexie Gauger (Jr., Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) making 13 total saves. The two goals to beat her came in the second half, the first in the 57
th minute as Kati Baker (Sr., Appleton, Wis.) finished off a play assisted by Mehan Bolton (Sr., Hugo, Minn.). The insurance goal was scored in the 72
nd minute when Nicole Sames (Sr., Mahtomedi, Minn.) scored her first goal of the 2015 season.

UMC has a pair of games remaining and currently sits one point out of a potential playoff spot. They will travel to Duluth on Friday to take on University of Minnesota Duluth who will be looking to play the role of spoilers, then UMC will host St. Cloud State University on Sunday in what could be a winner takes a playoff spot finale. St. Cloud State currently sits three points ahead of the Golden Eagles in the standings and is in seventh place overall. UMC will also need some help as both Upper Iowa University and Concordia University - St. Paul sit one point ahead in the standings.
