Box Score Crookston, Minn.- The University of Minnesota Crookston soccer team picked up their third shutout of the 2015 season as they blanked the University of Sioux Falls, 2-0, in NSIC play, Saturday afternoon. UMC dominated the play in the midday game where they outshout the Cougars 19-8 in the conference win.

Courtney Armborst (West St. Paul, Minn./Biology) led the offensive outburst with seven total shots, three of which made it on goal. The senior netted both of the Golden Eagles scores, opening up the game's scoring just before the halftime break in the 44
th minute of play. Defender
Samantha Deutsch (Jr., Lakeville, Minn./Accounting and Finance) earned the assist as she sent a pass from midfield that put Armborst in on a breakaway that she finished off from 25 feet out.
The second goal of the match came in the 79
th minute when Armborst blasted a shot from the left side, just outside the box. The insurance goal was assisted by fellow forward,
Lorna McCall (Fr., Chicago, Ill.).
Golden Eagle goalkeeper
Lexie Gauger (Jr., Green Bay, Wisc./Criminal Justice) earned her third save where she made a total of seven saves.
UMC (3-7-1, 3-5) will return to the home pitch tomorrow afternoon when they host Southwest Minnesota State University at 1:00 pm. The Mustangs enter the conference match with a record of 4-6-1 overall, 4-4 in NSIC play.
