Box Score BISMARCK, N. D. -  The UMC soccer team extended their unbeaten streak to four games as they closed out their weekend with a 1-1 tie at the University of Mary, Sunday afternoon.
 
Sophomore goalie, Lexie Gauger (Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) was solid in goal for the second straight day as she only allowed one goal and made seven total saves. Five of the stops came in the first half and the final stop came in the second overtime period.
 
Neither team scored in the opening period but the Golden Eagles scored early in the second half as Erin Mears (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D./Criminal Justice) set Beth Lastovich (White Bear lake, Minn./Health Science) in on goal and the frosh forward scored on a shot from 15 yards out. The goal is Lastovich's first of her college career and Mears' assist is her third of the 2014 season.
 
The Marauders tied things up three minutes later as Gauger was beat when Andrea Muller (Sr. West Fargo, N.D.) finished a rebound that came off the post. Both teams got off a pair of shots in the two overtime periods but the game ended tied at 1-1.
 
The Golden Eagles close out the weekend with a win over Minot State and the tie at Mary, setting their overall record at 2-2-2, 1-1-1 in NSIC play. UMC will continue with their road play next weekend when they travel to Concordia University, St. Paul and Minnesota State University Mankato.
