Box Score CROOKSTON, Minn.- The UMC soccer team closed out their 2014campaign with a 0-0 tie versus the University of Minnesota Duluth, Sunday afternoon. The scoreless game wraps up a season where the Golden Eagles went 6-6-6 overall, 5-5-5 in NSIC play.

Sophomore keeper,
Lexie Gauger (Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) earned her eighth shutout of the season where she faced 14 Bulldog shots and made five total saves. Duluth outshot UMC 14-10 in the game, but the Golden Eagles outshot UMD 3-2 in overtime. Frosh forward,
Miranda Mosher (Watertown, Minn.) was the Golden Eagles top offensive threat as she got off four shots, two of which were on net.
Danielle Gau (So., Monticello, Minn./Health Science) and
Courtney Armborst (Jr., West St. Paul, Minn./Biology) also had quality chances as they each took two shots in the season finale. Â

UMC finishes the regular season in ninth place in the NSIC, one spot out of the conference tournament. Their home record of 4-2-3 was a highlight of the 2014 campaign but even more impressive was their team defense at home where they only allowed six total goals, three of which came in their conference opener against Bemidji State University on September 9
th.
