Box Score CROOKSTON, Minn.- The 2014 version of the Highway 75 rivalry game was played Saturday afternoon with Minnesota State University Moorhead claiming the Rivalry Rock as they knocked of the Golden Eagles, 2-1, in a NSIC match in Crookston.

UMC dominated the action in the first half as they outshot the Dragons 11-2. The Golden Eagles struck first in the conference game when senior defender,
Rachelle Alcini (Ann Arbor, Mich./Health Sciences) sent a long pass into forward,
Miranda Mosher (Fr., Watertown, Minn.) who scored from 25 yards out. The goal was scored in the 24
th minute of play and stood up until the 36
th minute when the Dragons Jessica Johnson (So., St. Michael, Minn.) scored on a week shot from 45 yards out that went through the hands of Golden Eagle keeper
Lexie Gauger (Green Bay, Wisc./Criminal Justice). Four minutes later Johnson hit the game winner as she went upstairs off a free kick that Gauger played well but just couldn't get to.

The Golden Eagles outshot the Dragons 11-2 again in the second period, with neither team scoring. Frosh midfielder,
Beth Lastovich (White Bear Lake, Minn./Health Science) had the most chances in on net as she had four quality scoring opportunities

The Golden Eagles (5-5-3, 4-4-2) will return to the home field again tomorrow when they host the Wolves of Northern State University (4-9, 3-7) at 1:00 pm.Â
