Box Score (Crookston, Minn.) – Augustana College scored a goal in each half and held the University of Minnesota Crookston scoreless as they won 2-0 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Women's Soccer action today in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Vikings improve to 7-1-0 overall and 5-0-0 in the NSIC. The Golden Eagles fall to 2-5-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the NSIC with the loss.
Augustana College got on the board at 38:15 when Julie Reinsnes scored from six yards out after a corner kick. She was assisted by Stephanie Stevens. The Vikings added their second goal at 65:34 when Katie Hurd scored from 20 yards out off a corner kick. She was unassisted.
Ashley Limmer recorded the shutout for the Vikings with four saves.
Lexie Gauger (Fr, GK, Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) recorded ten saves for UMC.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 5 when they host the University of Sioux Falls and Sunday, October 6 when they host Southwest Minnesota State University. Matches begin at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively at the UMC Soccer Field. It will also be homecoming weekend for UMC.
