Box Score CROOKSTON, Minn. - The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) Women's Soccer team picked up its third tie of the season as the Golden Eagles and Minot State University (MSU) battled to a hard-fought 0-0 double overtime tie Sat., Oct. 26 at the UMC Soccer Field Crookston, Minn. in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) action. The tie leaves UMC with an overall record of 3-9-3 and NSIC record of 1-8-3. The Beavers now hold an overall record of 5-6-3 and NSIC record of 5-5-2.
Lexie Gauger (Fr, GK, Green Bay, Wis./Criminal Justice) recorded four saves for UMC. Jimi Guibor recorded two saves for MSU.
Minot State was led by four shots, with two on frame from Chloe Melton while they had 14 shots overall with the UMC back line limiting the Beavers to four shots on goal. Minnesota Crookston finished with seven shots overall, with two shots on goal. Each team had five corners apiece while Minot State had nine fouls compared to six for the Golden Eagles.
Courtney Armborst (So., F, West St. Paul, Minn./Biology) had two shots on net with one shot on goal.
Delaney McIntyre (So., MF, Flin Flon, Manitoba/Sports and Rec Management) added a shot on goal for UMC.
The Golden Eagles return to NSIC action on Sun. Oct. 27 when they host the University of Mary. The match begins at 1 p.m.
